a few new pics

Took these real quick last weekend - camera has been on the fritz lately deciding to work only here and there - must have caught it on a good day because it decided to cooperate for a bit! The pictures are mostly of Ann Laney, but I got a few cute ones of Lanier in there with her :)

Jumperoo Time

Note the picture of the "box with hair" - David made a head-hole and arm-holes for Lanier to play in the box the jumperoo came in. Tried to get some pictures of him in his "transformer robot box" but the camera died...literally. (Maybe David took some pictures with his phone that I'll get him to email and add later)

Too big to put in the mail?......

Happy Father's Day Pappy! Lanier made you a card and here it is! We went looking for cards earlier this week, and he thought it would be more fun to make you one himself.

Ann Laney says Happy Father's Day too -

Roly Poly and Mr. Funny

Here's a few pictures of AL rolling around - she's trying to "schoonch" as Pappy would say (looking like she's close to figuring out how to crawl)...

And a few pictures of Lanier being his silly self, and a bonus (haha) pic of my latest outfit made for Ann Laney :)

Yeah Food!

Started Ann Laney on baby food in the past two weeks, and she apparently has quite the appetite! Green peas were first (yuck) and then on to carrots (double yuck), and now we're on sweet potatoes. She does best when the food is "thickened" quite a bit with rice cereal so it gets in the back of her mouth to swallow easily, instead of so liquidy that she pushes it out with her tongue. After we get through all the veggies we'll start on the fruits. I'm determined to get this child to eat some veggies later on, unlike her brother....

Fun with Puppets

We've discovered that Ann Laney loves Lanier's shark and alligator puppets - which is rather surprising considering that they have large plastic kinda scary-looking teeth on them. I even tried to see if the other puppets we have get the same reaction from her, but no luck. The cute horsey one? Blank stare. The friendly dog one? No thanks. The twin turtles? You're boring me, Mom. But break out the alligator and shark with the scary teeth that used to make your brother cry? Can't get enough. I know the video may be a bit long (3-1/2 min approx I think), and please excuse my silly voices......

Lanier - 4th Birthday party

Lanier's 4th birthday party at Overton Park. Ed's Pet World brought 7-8 different animals for the kids to see - 2 lizards (I think), a parakeet, a tortoise, a snake, an alligator, can't recall the last two at the moment (what has happened to my brain lately?).....The kids had alot of fun, and it lasted just long enough before their attention span waned and they were out playing on the playground again.

We've got some video clips too that I'm trying to upload and add to this post.
